Walden is a somewhat small village located in the state of New York. With a population of 6,915 people and three associated neighborhoods, Walden is the 254th largest community in New York. Much of the housing stock in Walden was built prior to World War II, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.Walden is neither predominantly blue-collar nor white-collar, instead having a mixed workforce of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs. Overall, Walden is a village of professionals, sales and office workers, and managers.
