Fairgrove has a large stock of pre-World War II architecture, making it one of the older and more historic villages in the country.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some villages, Fairgrove isn’t mainly white- or blue-collar. Instead, the most prevalent occupations for people in Fairgrove are a mix of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Fairgrove is a village of service providers, professionals, and sales and office workers. Also of interest is that Fairgrove has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Setting & Lifestyle

It is a fairly quiet village because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Fairgrove has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Fairgrove has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Fairgrove than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Fairgrove may be for you.

In Fairgrove, however, the average commute to work is quite long. On average, people spend 31.44 minutes each day getting to work, which is significantly higher than the national average.

Being a small village, Fairgrove does not have a public transit system used by locals to get to and from work.
