Triana Profile

Overview

Triana is a tiny town located in the state of Alabama. With a population of 949 people and just one neighborhood, Triana is the 344th largest community in Alabama. There's nothing like the smell of a brand new house, and in Triana, you'll find that a large proportion of houses were recently built. New growth in residential real estate is an indication that people are choosing to move to Triana, and putting down their money on brand new construction. Triana’s real estate is, on average, some of the newest in the nation. Triana does seem to be experiencing an influx of affluent people, because the median household income is $51,579.00.

Triana real estate is some of the most expensive in Alabama, although Triana house values don't compare to the most expensive real estate in the U.S.

Occupations and Workforce

Unlike some towns where white-collar or blue-collar occupations dominate the local economy, Triana is neither predominantly one nor the other. Instead, it has a mixed workforce of both white- and blue-collar jobs. Overall, Triana is a town of professionals, sales and office workers, and service providers. There are especially a lot of people living in Triana who work in office and administrative support (17.89%), teaching (9.91%), and business and financial occupations (7.97%).

Also of interest is that Triana has more people living here who work in computers and math than 95% of the places in the US.

Setting & Lifestyle

It is a fairly quiet town because there are relatively few of those groups of people who have a tendency to be noisy. (Children, for example, often can't help themselves from being noisy, and being parents ourselves, we know!) Triana has relatively few families with children living at home, and is quieter because of it. Renters and college students, for their own reasons, can also be noisy. Triana has few renters and college students. But the biggest reason it is quieter in Triana than in most places in America, is that there are just simply fewer people living here. If you think trees make good neighbors, Triana may be for you.

Triana is a small town, and as such doesn't have a public transit system that people use to get to and from their jobs every day.

Triana Demographics

The overall education level of Triana is somewhat higher than in the average US city of 21.84%: 28.90% of adults 25 and older in the town have at least a bachelor's degree.

The per capita income in Triana in 2018 was $40,158, which is wealthy relative to Alabama and the nation. This equates to an annual income of $160,632 for a family of four. However, Triana contains both very wealthy and poor people as well.

Triana is an extremely ethnically-diverse town. The people who call Triana home describe themselves as belonging to a variety of racial and ethnic groups. The greatest number of Triana residents report their race to be Black or African-American, followed by White. Important ancestries of people in Triana include German, Italian, Barbadian, English, and Irish.

The most common language spoken in Triana is English. Other important languages spoken here include Spanish and Italian.
